A milestone in polio eradication efforts in the Philippines happened today at RITM, as the National Task Force on the Laboratory Containment of Poliovirus destroyed more than 2,000 samples tested by RITM from 2006 to 2015. This activity is a significant step in the Polio Endgame Plan, a global initiative which aims to eradicate polio.
