The US Army's Sapper Leader Course is a strenuous 28-day leadership development course for soldiers — especially combat engineers — that evaluates their ability to apply advanced techniques like troop leading procedures, demolitions, waterborne operations, and mountaineering operations while leading troops in combat scenarios.
